My favourite part of sewing and fashion design is that you have the opportunity to create something that is one-of-a-kind. That is what I wanted for my prom dress. I was aiming to create something unique that also matched my personality and style. First, I found a concept image on the internet, then bought the fabric in my preferred colour scheme. The skirt was my first attempt at drafting. I later further my drafting skills at Dalhousie University.
